FAQ

Q. How do I request a book or article from the library's website search box?

Answer

When searching for a book from the library website's search box, use the Book or Article tab to narrow your search to just books or articles.
Type or copy and paste the title of the item you are looking for into the search box and click Search.

Items held by the SA Health Library Service will display a green tick and Available SA Health Library Service.

If your item is not found from your initial search, expand the search to include content from Libraries Worldwide. This can be done by using the filters on the left side of the screen.

Where an item is not held in the SA Health Library Service, click on the green Unavailable through SALUS ….request it! button.

You will be prompted to login with your library account details. The request form will prepopulate with the item details.

TIP: When searching within the library's databases (such as OVID Medline) look for the Item not available...request it! button to submit a request if the full text is not available.
