Q. What conditions apply when making requests from other libraries?


Answer

When requesting loans or copies from other libraries you are agreeing to the following conditions:

  • Any print items should be returned to a SA Health Library branch by the due date provided, you may also need to allow for delivery time if posting.
  • Items may take some time to arrive through the interstate postal service, this is outside of our control.
  • Items can only be renewed if the original loaning library agrees to extend the loan period.
  • Items may be recalled earlier than the due date by the lending library, this is out of our control.
  • eBooks can't be borrowed from other libraries, instead you will be offered the option of a copy of one eBook chapter.
  • Scanned copies of books are limited by Copyright to only one chapter.
  • You may be liable for the cost of the item in the case of loss or damage.
  • Please do not take request items overseas, or on travel where your return date will be after the end of the loan period.
  • Requests are only processed during standard office hours
