Q. How do I recommend an item to the library for purchase?
You can use our online form to recommend an item to the library for purchase.
We try to meet the information needs of SA Health staff, however whether we can purchase or not depends on the following:
- Is the topic in scope with our Collection Development Guidelines?
- What is the balance of costs and benefits to staff of SA Health?
- Budget constraints
- In general we purchase in online format rather than print – depending on the nature of the item
- Age of the text – we prefer not to purchase items more than five years old
Unfortunately, we aren't able to purchase all recommended items. We will provide a response outlining the reasons why your request is declined.
